Mindfulness simply means remembering to be aware. Mindfulness is an active mental skill by which you (1) purposefully direct attention to the present moment, (2) become aware of your experiences(e.g., what you hear, feel, see, smell and taste) and (3) use helpful values (e.g., curiosity, acceptance, non-judgment and many more). Mindfulness is not a technique to avoid life problems. Mindfulness prepares you for being in life.
